To keep the marketplace catalog clean and easy for customers to browse, all products are mapped to marketplace categories. Rather than forcing you to classify every single product manually, our system runs an intelligent category matching engine that processes your product details in real-time. This guide explains how this automated categorization works and how you can define manual overrides when needed.
To see where your products are mapped, log in to your portal, navigate to Catalog > Products, and click on any synced item. In the product details page, you will see the active marketplace category currently assigned to your product.
If a product is mapped incorrectly, you can easily change it. On the product details page, scroll down to the Category Override section, select your desired category from the simple dropdown menu, and click Save. Once set, this manual selection is locked in and will never be overwritten by automatic updates.
All catalog mappings and custom category overrides are securely isolated. Your store's custom categorizations and mapping rules are fully protected, ensuring other marketplace partners can never view or modify your catalog settings.
When you sync your catalog, our system automatically compares your product's title, description, features and tags with our marketplace catalog structure to assign the best category.
