Understand the 5 compliance pillars (Stripe KYC, VAT VIES, TIN, Trader Status, and Self-Billing) required to verify your EU partner account.
To comply with the European Union General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) and tax regulations (such as DAC7), we enforce a strict onboarding compliance check. Your store's catalog visibility and ability to activate products are gated by your compliance status.
If your account status is PENDING, product toggles will be disabled. To transition your account to VERIFIED, you must satisfy the Five Pillars of platform compliance.
You must complete the Stripe Connect onboarding via the settings panel. This requires submitting:
You must supply a valid VAT number. Our system automatically checks your VAT number against the European Commission's VIES (VAT Information Exchange System) database.
Under DAC7 reporting rules, the marketplace is legally required to collect and report your local Tax Identification Number (TIN). You must enter your TIN in the tax settings dashboard.
Under the GPSR and consumer protection directives, you must self-declare as a professional Trader. You must click the "Declare Trader Status" checkbox and upload a business registration document (e.g., Chamber of Commerce excerpt / KVK / Handelsregister).
To facilitate automated cross-border deemed supplier payouts, you must sign the Self-Billing Agreement. This authorizes the platform to generate B2B self-billing invoices on your behalf. You can review and agree to the terms with a single click in your settings panel.
